Dante Damiano is a fictional character on American soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Dante was played by actor Antonio Sabàto, Jr. from June 2005 to November 2006.

Character

Dante was introduced in June 2005, when he moved to Los Angeles from Italy after helping Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester (Hunter Tylo) escape from Prince Omar's (Kabir Bedi) palace. It was soon revealed that Dante's reason for moving to L.A. was to win back the heart of Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones), with whom he had a brief fling in Europe in 2004.

Bridget made it clear that she was interested in no more than a friendship with Dante, but he wasn't deterred. He continued to woo Bridget, even after she married Nick Marone (Jack Wagner), and supported her after her daughter Nicole with Nick Marone was stillborn in February 2006. It was then revealed that Bridget's half-sister Felicia Forrester's (Lesli Kay) young son, Dominick, who was believed to have been fathered by Nick, was, in fact, Dante's son. This devastated Bridget, who soon left Nick so that she and Dante could raise the baby together after Felicia's imminent death from cancer.

In a shocking twist of fate, Felicia survived. Felicia's mother Stephanie (Susan Flannery) was determined to ensure that her daughter had the opportunity to raise Dominick (now nicknamed "Dino") and threatened to have Dante deported. This did not stop Dante, who planned to fight for the chance to raise Dino with Bridget. However, Bridget soon realized that she was not truly in love with Dante. The couple broke up and Dante realized that he wants to raise his son together with Felicia, the child's mother. Later Bridget discovered that she is pregnant with his child adding a new twist to Dante's relationship with the two sisters.

However, Dante gently told Bridget that it was over between them, and though they would always be connected by their child, he was moving on with Felicia, the mother of his son, Dino. He and Felicia rallied to Bridget's side when he discovered that she had miscarried the baby. Soon after, Dante left, to work on a sculpture in Italy. This absence has infuriated Felicia, who feels that he has not had any contact with his son. For this, she has called him a loser, among other things.
